In the name of God who owns soul and wisdom
These are the best attributes of God
Philosopher Ferdowsi

This article in our weblog is sth very new and you, visitors, can't find it in other Persian blogs or sites , English or Persian. At least we think so, because it is initiated by persiangirls, 2ms.
Here we’re trying to introduce a Latin alphabet for Persian language, Farsi. Some prejudice people may say NOWAY!!!!. But its necessary for 2 reasons: first making Farsi easy to write and learn( Arabic alphabet which is used now has lots of imperfections as it doesn’t have symbols for vowels and…. While this alphabet has mathematical shape and seems more logical…). second the new style of life in the internet world, chat rooms, sms, etc causes us to use Latin alphabet. And if sb tells that’s not true, I will tell him/ her that he/ she is completely blind.
This idea didn’t come out in one night. It backs to more than 50 years ago. For some reasons it failed in that time. But now new generation feels lack of such device in this new life as they use it in wrong shape in mentioned places.
Anyway, we believe in our way and we will keep it on. We would be glad to see our friends or others who are interested in helping and correcting our mistakes active in this part. For making it short:
WE TRY OUR BEST; WE HOPE IT’LL BE USEFUL!

There is a story behind this part. Maybe Mehrnaz can tell it better! Last year I helped one of our friends (Dan) with Farsi a little. It sroke my mind that it would be good if we can teach Farsi to people who are interested in learning! So this part and other related parts, which will follow, focus on teaching Farsi:

If you don’t know Persian at all, you can start from alphabet:
This chart would be helpful for persians who wanna learn new persian alphabet.

Symbols in pink are according to " Advanced Oxford dictionary 1995" phonetic symbols.
This "-" means there is no symbol in Oxford dictionary for sounds "X" and "Q" : X= kh, Q= gh

If you know the alphabet, let’s start from a very simple dialog:

Jamshid: Hello

Nakisaa: Hello! Are you fine?

-: yes, thanks. how are you?

-:merci,I'm fine!

Here you see name of letters, and in the next chart there are some examples for them. Enjoy it!

Tip: remember, you should pronounce “H” in the middle and at the end of words as the same as at beginning of words in Farsi.

Tip: there is a sound in Farsi which you will sometimes see in some words “ow” it is long O; however, since it is in few words, we haven’t decide to put it in the alphabet chart yet. It’s like a diphthong…. Don’t be worry about it. We will find a way!

Tip: stress in Persian words is always put on the last syllable. There are some exceptions in some verbs.

It's not the first time I wanna talk about an experience, something that has made me feel different inside, but still feels like words are hiding themselves somewhere that I can't find...I just remember the first time we heard about this project, that was like :no way!!!! she must be kidding...But that was one of the sweetest truths I've ever heard..Having a weblog on our own,and talking about the treasure everyone is forgetting, and sharing that with the world, wow that was just incredible!!!!
I have some great friends around, and they all helped me to know this treasure more, even those that have never come here.so this weblog, these words, and pictures, they have something more behind, they have "WE",an unbelievable company, they have Mrs. Marrandi first of all, then mahya with her wonderful Ideas, with her bright mind,Daniel with a generous heart, that makes us feel that there are still people who really care, and in the end all those who will come(came)and write(wrote) their beautiful comments for us,and will read(read)our articles....

This is the place I can share my heart with all those who will come and open their hearts for me...
This is my petit world!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR MY FRIENDS

Dreams seem so far,but who knows how far they are!!!!!
before starting this course I had no idea that I can create my own page on net and share my ideas with others. of course I intended to take some courses in flash one day and who knew when this day would arrive!!!anyways, I was surprised at the begining of my essay writing course. my Professor Dr.marandi came and told us that we were going to learn how to create weblog for sharing our essays... how wonderful that was...me and mehrnaz were flying without wings!!that evening I went home and created this weblog. choosing a suitable name was really difficult and as usual the simplest one is the best one...I finally chose " Persian Girls" with doubt. The following day I met Mehrnaz and told her what I did. She did agree...and then we started to plan for it.What big ideas we had!! we just talked and talked...and nothing was done. after a week finally we put a message on our weblog about our intention and goals and the next day we found a picture of a beautiful persian girl. You've definetely seen that...we found out we should spend more time on our weblog. So sundays and wensdays we stayed at university and worked on it. What beautiful time we had! useful, joyful and great!... after all we are going to keep on...it's really interesting...I suggest you to experience it if you haven't.at the end I want to thank our professor Dr. Marandi that with great patiance answers our questions, solves our problems and above all opened this path to us...

A Taste of Persian Cuisine
Standards of food hygiene are mostly satisfactory in all categories of eating-houses, except for Iranian sausages which can cause stomach problems. In general most Iranian cooking is healthy and nutritious, and you shouldn’t have much problem in keeping to a balance diet.
All provinces of Iran have their own dishes and specialties. However, the national dish is rice prepared in several special ways and served in vast helpings with almost every main dishe, and very few of the main dishes would be considered complete without it. Iranian rice from the Mazandaran and Gilan province is considered by many, 24 hours, boiled and steamed and served separately, while Polo is rice cooked with the other ingredients. Rice in general is Berenj. The rice is always fluffy and tender, never sticky and soggy. Often the cook will steam chelo rice with yogurt or an egg yolk(or a thin layer of Lavash bread) to make a crunchy golden crust (Tah Dig) at the bottom of the pan, which is broken up and served on to of the rest of the rice. Saffron is very frequently used to flavor and color rice.
Soft drinks are sold in bottles. Tea served in see-through glasses (never with milk) is an integral part of hospitality in Iran. Coffee is not widely available and is usually expensive.
Fruits are served almost at all kinds of ceremonies and occasions. Second to tea, seasonal fruits are another integral part of hospitality.
Every province has its own specialty for making sweets, biscuits and candies. Sweets made of dates, rice and many other fruits and substances are very common in Iran and people appreciate good sweets and tourists during their stay in Iran would develop a taste for quality of sweets and would soon recognize the origin of each one.Traditionally Iranians drink cold water, juice, syrup or dug(yogurt drink) with their meals.

Praise to the holy creator, who has placed his throne upon the waters, who has made all terrestrail creatures. To the heavens he has given dominion and to the earth dependence; to the heavens he has given movement, and to the earth uniform repose...

FOR THOSE WHO ARE PROUD TO BE A PERSIAN.
LONG LIVE IRAN!

o, I am not a terrorist nor a wife beater, I don't live in a tent, in a desert and camels are not our way of transportation.
I speak Farsi, not Arabic, and Iran is pronounced "EERAUN" and not "I - ran" (it's not track & field)News flash: Iran and Iraq are two different countries; Middle East is a region and NOT a continent.Belly dancers are NOT strippers (no sex in the Champaign room); anyways, belly dancing is an Arabic dance, it never came from Iran. Each time you play a game of chess to improve your intellect, keep in mind that it was Persians who gave you your game.Iranian women are just as outspoken (if not more) and liberal as the European women.Iran is the first country on earth to have a lion (male) and a sun (female) for its symbol; and the colors red, white, and green for a flag.
Allow us to introduce ourselves:we're PERSIANs. Our LAND IS IRAN!
