as long as they have power over you, they do whatever one can imagine to make others believe that hey I'm higher..hey,you are nobody....
unfortunately this semester,we faced a typical example of such a person...she was our critic professor...she was young and was experiencing her first time of university teaching!!!! believe it or not,we became her puppets,a laboratory to examine what is good and what is not..this course was really important to all of us,as literature is above all being able to criticize what you read!!!! anyway, time passed and exam time arrived!!! it was our second exam,we all were very stressful..I myself was dying...the exam was at 10...we were all in the class waiting for this lady to come, starring at the door, listening to footsteps..nothing,nothing,nothing...she wasn't coming!!! the stress was that much that all the time I was shouting at everyone...at 12,our dear " RESPONSIBLE" staff came and asked us to sit in the class again for the exam...I was angry to death, because I'd already lost my tour-leader final exam after waiting for it so long!!! we weren't in good positions..we all were wrecked inside..so we refused,we asked them to rearrange another day and time for the exam...and the funny thing!!! the funny thing was that we were sentenced in this event, that all has happened is because of us,but we couldn't see any relation and this made us become soooooo angry, kinda mad!!!!
anyway, after a long time, nearly 4 hours shouting, crying and even begging, they changed the day!!! it was our last exam, and we all did study very much..the book was extremely hard, but we said nothing and studied it...the questions were truly weird, very uncountably hard..but we again answered..I knew I had passed it..I was sure about it...BUT today I can say that as far as I know 10 students, including me, have been failed, and the others are all 10,11,or 12!!!!
It can be a record in the university!!! we all are shocked and angry to death..that how can a person be this much selfish and bad mannered, acting like this even as a professor in the university...besides,we see how the staff are all on her side, trying to hammer all of us!!!this is how it always been, students in the university are considered nothing but as sheep!!!
now dear Mrs. Marrandi, I'm asking you..WHY? what have we done? why aren't you on our side, trying to help us..make us calm???? I myself never ever imagined myself failing any course..you know me, you know all of us...we all are down..no trust in you nor the staff...how are you gonna make it? hammering us more?..or..............

sometimes we face things in life, that you find yourself so weak in bearing all that though it may seem to be very small for others...nearly a month ago i broke up with my boy friend whom I really loved..it was very painful, couldn't really believe that!!! salute! You kept us alive for manynights and days. Your music was one major aspiration of playing piano for me. Still whenever I take the time to sit and touch the keyboard, the flow of your chords are sensible in my hands. I remember how much we talked with my other friends about your magical skill of writing unique and memorable melodies. And a few months ago, when I was searching in the pile of cassettes and CDs in musicstore of Tehran, I suddenly found one great collection that I wanted for years: A collection of film music by Babak Bayat.
For many of us, it started with "khoroos zari, piranpari". The songs and whole story line was unique and certainly shaped many of the metaphorical concepts in my mind. And then, you came with "Soltaan o shabaan".That magical mixture of sadness and joyful and dreamy music. That music became the sound track of my life for a while.
Then, We listened "Sokoot Sarshaar az naagoftehaast"with the warm voice of the great Shamlou. Your typical small string orchestra with strong hits of the cello and the rain drops of the piano of Andrea Arezoomanian. That music, that poetry and that voice:How to put that joy in words?!
We the young travelers of an unstable land, took all our hopes and dreams and our ideals to the dark rooms of cinemas. We sat there, laughed and cried and learned about love and life. Iranian cinema became our window to our ideals and dreams. And your beautiful music massaged our joy of that silver screen: Shayad Vaghti Digar, Aroos, Noghte Zaf, Kashti Anjelika,Pardeh Akhar, Mosaferaan.... Then there was "Piroozidar Chicago", when for the first time we heard the magical sound of "Saxophone" on the streets of Tehran. We walked home, humming your music after a memorable night of our life with a hope that our country might get closer to our utopia. Our lives fit into a vast and complicated tapestry that only God could unravel, because he’s the one making it. There are things that happen in our lives that are tied in an intricate domino effect to something else happening somewhere else that we may never realize in this life. I’ve heard of enough bizarre connections to know this is happening a lot more than we realize. Chalk it up to God’s amazing creativity as he weaves his will into the events of the world.
Someone gets sick, goes to the hospital, and ends up leading the person in the next bed to the Lord. Not only this, but huge growth issues were established in both of their lives when this happened, and this started a chain of events still going on today. And we want to ask “Why?” I have a feeling God might say, “You don’t have time for that answer. Besides, you haven’t lived long enough to see the end of it. Sorry, but I could never explain it all to you. You just have to trust me.”
Our job is to look at what happens in our lives and learn from what God is trying to teach us. There are no mistakes here. God doesn’t go, “Whoops!” or to the angels: “OK, what went wrong here? Which one of you guys had Fischer this time?”
Here’s the truth of the matter: “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28 NLT) Which is another way of saying that God’s purpose is in everything that you and I go through, whether we are able to see it or not. And that purpose is producing something good in and through our lives, no matter what happens. Do you believe that?
We all have things in our lives in which it is hard – almost impossible – to see God’s purpose. That doesn’t mean anything except that we are shortsighted and short on faith sometimes. That’s when we need to keep on believing and knowing that God is working things out for the best.
What about you? Is something bad happening to you right now? Think back on a time when you felt like this about something that you now see God had a purpose in, and believe that he is at work, doing the same redemptive act with what you can’t see right now and believe. Don’t stop believing.

so please all you dear friends that read this article, tell me if you feel the same way I did or it's something not that big or whatever..I can't wait to read your comments!!!

I was chatting with this very good friend of mine from England, that he sent me this nice picture..It really did make me say WOW!!!!! The people of Tibet are living under oppression of the Chinese authorities for more than 60 years and the world has not heeded Tibetan's cry or supported its struggle for independence whole heartedly. This is the time we all can express our sympathy and support to the people of Tibet as individuals and declare our moral support to them. This is what we can do

According to Tibet 's Government in Exile website over 1.2 million Tibetans have died as a direct result of the Chinese invasion and occupation of Tibet . Today, it is hard to come across a Tibetan family that has not had at least one member imprisoned or killed by the Chinese regime. Under Chinese invasion the whole of Tibet has been turned into a vast network of prisons and labor camps. There are reports that China even resorted to massacre of prisoners to keep the prison population within manageable limits.

Big corporations like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft bowed to the pressures of Chinese government and censor search results so that information like Tiananmen Square massacre will not be accessible to the people of China. They block out information about Democracy and human rights. Tibetans don't want to live under Chinese dictatorial communist government. They want freedom, they want Democracy. Please join us to blog about Tibet on July 6th "World Tibet Day" which is the birthday of the Dalai Lama. It’s shocking and also thoughtful thing to hear!!! The pressure on doctors, patients, and their families is so noticeable!!! It made us think that so what is Euthanasi

a everyone is talking about now? And what happens that a patient or his family claim for it? Euthanasia (or in another word “mercy killing”) is when the patient has a fatal disease, and with no doubt this disease will lead the patient to a painful death!!! There is nothing doctors can do, nor treatment, neither relieving the pain even by sedatives or Opiodes!!! Mostly it happens when the patient is in such a bad condition that by doing Euthanasia he can be relieved from pain and have an easier death.

Today Euthanasia have received some sensational press around the world, and is discussed a lot for being able to decide if it’s a good decision or not, and are we allowed to do it or not.

But we believe that there is no way to be sure that it’s for or against moral, and should or should not be done!!! As we can never be in that patient’s shoes, or even his family, to see what kind of pressure they are enduring. We thought that maybe the best way to see exactly what is happening to these people was to go through what they’ve gone by listening and looking at them. So we found two cases, one Persian, the other an American one. But totally different from how they look to this, and even how they look to their handicapped, retardate children.

1-“Life is a battlefield”!!!!
Maryam is 30 now, and is living with her parents, those who have dedicated their life for just raising her and seeing her comfortable and happy (they also have a son who is married now and have 2 sons too.). She hardly can talk, and the only thing you can hear is single sounds, no words at all. She tries to ask for what she needs by pointing and her body gestures. One can hardly understand how someone can dedicate her/his life and raising a girl that actually even don’t understand more than a 1 year-old one!! Maybe even it seems useless, as beside for example maryam’s life her parent’s life was destroyed too. So we asked her mother how come this can ever happen. And how hard life is for them now, and it was the answers that surprised us from head to toe!!!
She never denied that it is hard to have a mentally and physically retarded daughter, but the way she looked at difficulties was different. She believed that maryam is th

e mercy she always wanted in her life and that she is the light that is shining on them, and help them survive and be strong. She said that since they have maryam, everything is changed, but in a good way. She thinks that now she sees things better and think about things more, and maryam has even helped her to have more faith in God and have more confidence about her life in this and the other world both. Respecting maryam is so important in the family and they expect others to respect her as well. No one there look at her like she does maybe not understand, but she is treated exactly like a 30 year old girl. She believes that whatever others may think, having maryam beside her is 100% better than not having her there, and if by any accident something happens to maryam, she is not going to forgive herself for that, cause she has no different look to maryam than a mother does to her child.

2-“God please deliver us from pain”!!!

Last year an American father killed her 4 year old mentally retarded daughter by gas. He was then sentenced to 14 years in prison for this crime, but then everyone started to think and talk that maybe he really didn’t do something wrong. As he said in the court his family was going to be destroyed. They were all suffering badly from depression and there was no happy moment in their life. He, his wife and son all were hurting, and there was no way to survive. So one day that his wife was out, he just decided to deliver his family from pain. He said that he knew that his daughter was hurting too, and all those treatments could just help her for some hours and again after that it was pain and pain!!! So the best way was what he did, and God knows no one likes to kill his child.

By studying these two different cases, one really should think that now is Euthanasia right or not!!! We still can’t say that firmly, as only God knows how hard it is to have a child like that, but some questions came in to our mind that we like to share them with you.
We wondered if Euthanasia is delivering the patient from pain and help her/him to have an easier death, or it’s about us and delivering ourselves from that pressure we are under, and help ourselves to feel life again? We also wondered how in heaven’s name we can understand that a little child is suffering from pain when he/she can’t even talk, and how we are sure that maybe he/she doesn’t have another world? Because we can never even say what’s happening in a normal person’s life truly, so how we can be sure what’s happening in someone’s life who can’t even talk to us?!
The other thing was the reason for having a baby like this, and it’s still something we can’t talk about. Why really God send a child like this to a family? (This question aroused when we faced with a very young, intelligent, handsome young boy’s death because of cancer, and he died exactly a month later they found this, but for example maryam is still living though she has such deep problems!!!)

We can’t say that all the families should do what maryam’s family do, or do what that American family did, because it’s not possible to talk about such things when we can not understand even a bit of what they are suffering from. We don’t judge, but still sometimes we think that maybe if we change the way we look at life, maybe how we look to such a thing changes too. And maybe we never see them the reasons why we don’t feel happy any more.

here there is a comment of one of our visitors:
Hello Persian Girls. I am a friend of your professor, Susan Marandi. I am from Canada, and I know Dr. Marandi from our online group, the WebHeads in Action.Your essay on Euthanasia was very thought-provoking, particularly the point of view from Maryam's mother. I have just finished reading a book about a mother who has cared for her comatose daughter for over 35 years. This mother feels much the same, that it is a blessing to serve her daughter, day and night, and it has only strengthened her faith in God.I work in the medical field, and there are times when medical intervention is pointless, so in a way it is like mercy killing to withhold treatment. But the courts do not usually support aggressive euthanasia.Thank you for writing about this sensitive topic, presenting both sides and your own thoughts. Well done!

Well last week we were given a very very nice story by our simple prose's professor,D.R Ghahremani. the story was very nice as it has very diffrent view to the world we live in! It's about day and night! We never have such point of view about the first days of creation, movement, Gods and day and nights. We really enjoy of that. So we decided to share it with you and know your idea about that:)

Many stories ago, when the first Gods_ those who made the world_ were still circling through the night, there were these two other Gods_
IK’al and Votan.
The two were only one. When one was turning himself around, the other would show himself, and when the other one was turning himself around, the first one would show himself. They were opposites. One was light like a may morning at the river. The other was dark like night of cold and cave.
They were the same thing. They were one, these two, because one made the other. But they would not walk themselves, staying there always, these two Gods who were one without moving.
“what should we do then?”the two of them asked.
“life is sad enough as it is” they lamented, the two who were one in staying without moving.
“night never passes” said Ik’al.
“Day never passes” said votan
“Let’s walk” said the one who was two.
“how” asked the one. And they saw thet they had moved a little, first to ask how, then to ask where. The one who was two became very happy when the one saw that they were moving themselves a little. Both of them wanted to move at the same time, but they couldn’t do it themselves.
“how should we do it then?” and one would come round first and then the other and hey would move just a little bit more and they realized that they could move if one went first, then the other. So they came to an agreement that_ in order to move_ one had to move first, then the other. So they started walking and now no one remembers who started walking first because at the time they were so happy just to be moving…And “who cares who was first since we’re moving now?” said the Gods who were one and the same and they laughed at each other and the first agreement they made was to dance, and they danced, one little step by one, one little step by the other, and they danced for a long time because they were so happy that they had found each other. Then they got tired of so much dancing and they looked for something else to do.
And they saw that the first question was, “ how do we move? And the answer was ‘together but separately and in agreement’ “but that question wasn’t important anymore because they realized that they were already walking and so another question came up when they saw that there were two roads in front of them:
One road was very short and it just got over to there and they could see clearly that this road would end right away and their feet were full of joy from walking that they said right then that the first road was too short and they didn’t want to walk it and so they made an agreement to walk the long road. And they were going to start walking when their answer to choose the long road brought another question_ “ where does this road take us?” they took a long time to think about the answer and the two who were one got the right idea that only by walking the long road were they going to know where the road took them. If they remained there, they were, they were never going to know where the long road leads. the two who were one said to each other:
“so let’s walk it then” and they started walking, first the one and then the other. And only then and there did they realize that it was taking a long time to walk the long road, so another question came up: “ how are we going to walk for such a long time?” and they stayed thinking a good while and then. Ik’al said real clearly that he didn’t know how to walk by day and Votan said that he was afraid to walk at night and they stayed there, crying for a long time.
And when all the walking and hollering was over, they came to an agreement and they saw that it was fine for Ik’al to walk only at night and for Votan to walk only during the day and Ik’al would walk for Votan during the night and that is how they came up with the answer for walking all the time.
Since then the gods have walked with questions and they never stop. They never arrive and they never go away.
This is how the true men and women learned that questions are for walking not for just standing around and doing nothing. And since then, when the true men and women want to walk, they ask questions. When they want to arrive, they take leave. And when they want to leave, they say hello. They are never still.”

As told by subcomandante marcos, Zapatista army for nationa liberation, Mexico.

well, I don't know about you but we love french language alot, and this causes us to be thirsty of learning something new about it everyday!!
so we met some friends who were studying french and they gave us two beautiful poems to write here..frnech is known as "love language" , so just enjoy and read this beautiful poems..

Le petit optimiste In Tehran University and Ferdosi university in Mashhad , there was conferences in memory of him. That’s a pity we couldn’t participate. But for remembrance of this great man we decided to write some words since we, Persians, owe him our language and culture a lot. May he be ever remembered! And he would …

Ferdosi's life(taken from a site which you can see the address at the end of the article)
Ferdosi mentions the exact date for his sixty-third birthday in the Shahnameh. After reconciling the calendar he used with the ones still in use today, it’s been determined that he was born on Friday January 3rd, 940 A.D. (329 A.H., lunar calendar). His birthplace, Bazh, was a village in the neighborhood of Tabaran, the main district of the old city of Tus, in the province of Khorasan, Iran.
His honorific title (konye) is unanimously recorded as Abu’lQassem, which indicates that he had a son named Qassem. His son’s death at a young age grieved the poet immensely. According to Nezami-Aruzi, Ferdosi left behind only a daughter – a high-spirited lady…
For Centuries after the fall of the Sassanian (the last Iranian dynasty overthrown in the Arab invasion of the seventh century A.D.), the dehqans remained pillars of the Iranian community. They endeavored to preserve the memories of the golden days of the perished empire. They upheld the heroic traditions and the cultural heritage of Iran. Consequently, they became the paragons of the Iranian people. The very term dehqan became synonymous with “Iranian”, and the “learned narrator of history and sagas” of Iran.
Ferdosi came from this class, the landed nobility. Although his early years are obscure, being the son of a well-to-do squire, he undoubtedly received a high education and a strenuous physical training. The type of education and training which the sons of Iranian nobility would traditionally undergo. It is evident from his masterly creation, the Shahnameh that his educational concentration was on the Persian literature, and the Iranian history & sagas. He learned a great deal about ancient Iran and its heroes, culture, and heritage.
In 360/970, Ferdosi, then thirty years old, was an accomplished poet, married, with a two-year old son. He had a number of celebrated friends; among whom Mansur, the son of Abu Mansur Mohammad Abd-al-Razzaq, occupied a special position. Ferdosi’s life was filled with efforts to learn incessantly and attending the learned gatherings. He had a profound appreciation for beauty, especially natural beauty. This combined with his astonishing imagination made him an artist whose descriptions of the scenes are as colorful, as lively, and as absorbing as the great work of a master painter of the Realism School.
Ferdosi was a tall figure with a lively and optimistic nature. He lived much in the same way, as did his Sassanian ancestors, with prosperity and joy. He enjoyed such pastimes as horseback riding, playing games, feasting and drinking wine, and listening to music and songs. He loved life and all it had to offer. He was courteous, kindhearted, truthful, open-handed, warm, and faithful. He despised prejudice, ignorance, and greed. Ferdosi’s personality is well reflected in his work.
He admired wisdom sincerely. For Ferdosi, “truth” and “wisdom” were the keys to salvation. He emphasized that in moments of defeat and decline, hope must be retained; because old fallen trees can grow anew if their roots are preserved. This is one reason why he wanted to preserve the memories of Iran’s glorious past – which someday it might rise again. It was as if his love for Iran was part of his religion and governed his way of thinking. He idolized Iranian heroes, glorified their ways of life, and defended their traditions with zeal and conviction.
Ferdosi spent his best years pouring his energy and heart into charming, meaningful, and exciting poetry. The Shahnameh is an impressive monument of poetry and historiography; a poetical recast of what Ferdosi and his predecessors regarded as the account of Iran’s history. The singular message that the Shahnameh strives to convey is the idea that the history of Iranshahr was a complete and immutable whole. It started with Gayumarth, the first man, and ended with his fiftieth scion and successor, Yazdegerd III: six thousand years of history. The task of Ferdosi was to prevent this history from losing its connection with the future Iranian generations. Needless to say, he succeeded in a way that no other historian has, either before or after him.
As a man of strong principles, Ferdosi kept the Shahnameh undedicated for a long time. In all the years he was composing the Shahnameh, he had saved it for a royal patron who would recognize the value of such a treasure and would be worthy of receiving it. Such patron would ensure preservation of copies of the Shahnameh, and would help to propagate them throughout Iran.
For more information go to:http://www.ferdosi.org/WWW/ferdosimain.html
http://www.farhangsara.com/ferdosi1.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferdowsi

Asia continent is the jewelry of the world, and it has so many undiscovered things even in the present centry. I had things to study for the university, but i just said: no problem, university is there,it's not gonna escape, just read it..don't put it down..
I remember reading the book even in the bus while going back home from university, though reading in a car or bus makes me feel so sick!!..
the fact that I didn't finish it in a day was that I was like: what should I do after finishing it?:P
but well I did,and after 2 months i'm still dreaming and thinking about it..Just really can't wait to see the movie that is coming out 33 days later..

I'm not sure but a friend said that he had some problems after publishing the book for months, but now things are going on well..
I believe that we can bravely call him one of the most talented post-modern writers..I just love the style and everything...
we couldn't contact him till now,but we wanna ask him to visit our weblog,as we both are his biggest fans ever..by the time we do that,we'll tell you all guys ,that maybe we can have an interview with him..

so,if you are one of those that still hasn't bought the book,or read it,don't waste the time..you won't regret..

METTING MUNIR FASHEH!!!!

Today, april 10,2006, we met D.R Munir Fasheh in the university..You may not know him,but we(English literature students) were all so excited as we used to read his articles in our classes..He looked so friendly and warm, like all the layers that are now around people, that we can't talk even a word with eachother, were broken in him...HE talked about so many things, from the problems he used to have in Palestine to the modern world, and whats happening to the nations..
Sometimes a very deep sentence caused us to lose what he was saying next!!!..HE talked about free thoughts,acts,etc..that we should free ourselves from FREE CHOICE! yes we agree strange sentence, but what it really means is so nice...he brought an e.g for us,he asked us to imagin a table of things we don't like, then someone would let us choose whatever we want from this table,it doesn't make any sense as all the things are meaningless and useless to us,so what is this FREE CHOICE here?..actually nothing..we loved this part, and caused us to think so much about it...People like D.R Fasheh, and others are so great, all they 're trying to tell us is: look at yourself, see what you want and what you are!!!But as some students who have gone through the process of knowing, take our advice,It's the hardest thing to do ever in life, but besides the sweetest!!! We are so happy that we had the chance to know, and meet great people like D.R Fasheh...GOD blesses him...

“Whatever is, is right.” Longman Lexicon of Contemporary English by Tom McArthur page 1 A1 verbs

Whatever is, is right and Iran is, so it has the right to have whatever leads IT to a better world. I know that sentence of Lexicon is a kind of philosophical one and absolutely has deeper meanings but it can have that simple one too. And I believe that Iranians are deserve to have technology and other things such as nuclear power for scientific application.
Nuclear power is one of the greatest physical powers in our world which is twisted entirely with politics and science. Today every body knows these two elements are also originators of our new world and life. So I admit I can't talk and judge about it precisely…I can just tell undoubtedly we deserve whatever causes development and happiness for our country.
Professor Qahremany (my simple prose course’s professor) believes being neutral is completely wrong… maybe she is right… but I’m not neutral. What can I say about sth that I don’t know except my feeling, as I did!...politics is the last thing in the world that I would be interested in….in general I hate politics at all…. Maybe I’m wrong…. But it’s me and the way I’ve chosen to live… living in peace without any storm…. As a person who‘s chosen English literature and loves literatures I think it’s normal. And if you think I should change my attitude… I tell sorry cause it rarely happens. But….but ….one thing is clear! If I had to support any political stream for any reason, I would choose one which keeps my country’s benefit….
About science part, I love science and I believe in it. Any time I find free time I try to study and learn about new things in science which have built this new life style or even the old one. Anyways, I don't have lots of knowledge about nuclear physical science… all I know is a simple physical theory and vague image of its huge power…. Everybody agrees what happened in Hiroshima was shameful….and also many people have a general view of capacity of nuclear power in scientific researches…so who can claim Persian scientists and researchers don’t need it.
At the end, it seems many things which man is made, at least at the beginning, causes to pollute his environment. I make you sure like other nations; Iranians are aware that nuclear pollution is the most dangerous one. So with using development countries’ experiences in this field, we would be able to maintain it.
Be in agreement or disagreement with this article… We will be glad to see your comments, but still, this blog is not a political one. At least we think so, because it is initiated by persiangirls, 2ms.
Here we’re trying to introduce a Latin alphabet for Persian language, Farsi. Some prejudice people may say NOWAY!!!!. But its necessary for 2 reasons: first making Farsi easy to write and learn( Arabic alphabet which is used now has lots of imperfections as it doesn’t have symbols for vowels and…. While this alphabet has mathematical shape and seems more logical…). second the new style of life in the internet world, chat rooms, sms, etc causes us to use Latin alphabet. And if sb tells that’s not true, I will tell him/ her that he/ she is completely blind.
This idea didn’t come out in one night. It backs to more than 50 years ago. For some reasons it failed in that time. But now new generation feels lack of such device in this new life as they use it in wrong shape in mentioned places.
Anyway, we believe in our way and we will keep it on. We would be glad to see our friends or others who are interested in helping and correcting our mistakes active in this part. For making it short:
WE TRY OUR BEST; WE HOPE IT’LL BE USEFUL!

There is a story behind this part. Maybe Mehrnaz can tell it better! Last year I helped one of our friends (Dan) with Farsi a little. It sroke my mind that it would be good if we can teach Farsi to people who are interested in learning! So this part and other related parts, which will follow, focus on teaching Farsi:

If you don’t know Persian at all, you can start from alphabet:
This chart would be helpful for persians who wanna learn new persian alphabet.

Symbols in pink are according to " Advanced Oxford dictionary 1995" phonetic symbols.
This "-" means there is no symbol in Oxford dictionary for sounds "X" and "Q" : X= kh, Q= gh

If you know the alphabet, let’s start from a very simple dialog:

Jamshid: Hello

Nakisaa: Hello! It’s like a diphthong…. Don’t be worry about it. We will find a way!

Tip: stress in Persian words is always put on the last syllable. There are some exceptions in some verbs.

mehrnaz
It's not the first time I wanna talk about an experience, something that has made me feel different inside, but still feels like words are hiding themselves somewhere that I can't find...I just remember the first time we heard about this project, that was like :no way!!!! The following day I met Mehrnaz and told her what I did. However, the national dish is rice prepared in several special ways and served in vast helpings with almost every main dishe, and very few of the main dishes would be considered complete without it. Iranian rice from the Mazandaran and Gilan province is considered by many, 24 hours, boiled and steamed and served separately, while Polo is rice cooked with the other ingredients. Rice in general is Berenj. The rice is always fluffy and tender, never sticky and soggy. Often the cook will steam chelo rice with yogurt or an egg yolk(or a thin layer of Lavash bread) to make a crunchy golden crust (Tah Dig) at the bottom of the pan, which is broken up and served on to of the rest of the rice. Saffron is very frequently used to flavor and color rice.
Soft drinks are sold in bottles. Tea served in see-through glasses (never with milk) is an integral part of hospitality in Iran.
